Dystopian cityscape

"Stonegrove district? Honey, you must be new. We call it the Shrooms. You probably heard this already, but let me tell you just in case: it's one of the more run-down parts of the city. If you value your sanity and your lungs (and have the money to afford it), you'll look for a flat in the Upper Shrooms. You'll get your sunlight, and the smog is only bad around the vents that lead to the Lower Shrooms. Now, if you end up in the Lower Shrooms, that's when you know you need help. No idea who had the brilliant idea to build a ceiling over half a city. Whoever they were, they obviously didn't care about the perpetual darkness, or that it'd trap in the smoke and noise from the streets. At least they planted some trees in the courtyards, I guess. People rightly don't like living there. But, if you do end up down there, try and get a place as close to the ground as you can. You'll avoid the worst of the smoke, at least. Stay safe out there!"
-An elderly lady who took pity on the obviously lost protagonist
